It all began in 2012, when our founder, known affectionately as “the notekeeper” spent her afternoons writing notes and letters in a cozy, sunlit corner of her favorite cafe. Over time, fellow patrons became interested in her ever-growing collection of whimsical washi tapes, and stack of mysterious notebooks.
The notekeeper began hosting weekend stationery swaps in her small apartment. Word spread quickly, and soon “the notekeeper’s gatherings” became a beloved monthly event, drawing creative spirits from across the city. Mill Bristol is the notekeeper’s online home, and a home to anyone seeking inspiration, connection, or simply a peaceful moment with pen and paper. We’re so glad you’re here!

The notekeeper and her close-knit team continue to hunt for hidden gems and foster new traditions, from beginner journaling workshops to annual letter-writing contests.
Alex (Community Manager): With a background in graphic design and a love for bullet journaling, Alex organizes our events and manages our online community. You’ll find her sharing new arrivals on social media or hosting our creative meet-ups.
Rina (Workshop Coordinator): Rina is a calligraphy enthusiast who brings new ideas to our monthly classes and loves introducing customers to unconventional pens and inks. She believes every mistake is a chance for a new masterpiece.
